満足

今回も、私が大好きなAyako Suzuki(鈴木章子)さんの詩(poems)を紹介します。

 This life. (この生)



Now I finally understand the Buddha's words. (佛様のおことばがわかる)

For this life that I have received, (今の生いただきまして)
I am very thankful. (ありがとうございました)

For this body that is able to listen (佛法をお聴かせいただく身にさせていただきまして)
To the Buddha-Dharma, 
I am very thankful. (ありがとうございました)

For the Nembutsu that I have been able to receive, (お念仏をいただくことができまして)
I am very thankful. (ありがとうございました)

And now, with inner joy and gratitude, (喜んで)
I also receive the end of my life. (この生　終わらせていただきます)
 

次の詩が、彼女の47歳の人生最期の詩です。

当時の日本では、まだ癌疼痛緩和のためのモルヒネは使われておらず、強い痛みと苦しみの中でこの詩が生まれました。

The Nembutsu.(念仏は）

Gives me.(私に）

The power.(ただ今の身を)

To accept my condition.(納得して頂いてゆく力を与えて下さる）

As I am.
